Dip Bowl — Rocky Hillside

A handmade dip bowl thrown for dips and nibbles, in the Rocky Hillside glaze. The bowls below are the exact pieces currently available, so you can choose the one that feels right for you.

The shape

Each Dip Bowl is thrown on the wheel to sit alongside a sharing board or stack away neatly when not in use, then turned and finished by hand the next day.

The glaze

Blue over a soft sand, drawn from walking the gritstone edges above Macclesfield. On a clear day the rock reads grey-blue against dry bracken, and that is the pairing here, a warmer blue than Cornflower, set on a soft, sandy base.

Every piece is thrown and finished by hand, so small differences in shape, glaze movement, colour and texture are part of its unique character.
