Espresso Cup — Makers Mark

A handmade espresso cup thrown for a short, strong coffee, in the Makers Mark glaze. The cups below are the exact pieces currently available, so you can choose the one that feels right for you.

The shape

Each Espresso Cup is thrown on the wheel with a compact body and thumb and finger indents pressed into the sides for grip, sized for a short, strong coffee, then turned and finished by hand the next day.

The glaze

The most direct of the six. Navy slip is marked straight onto the raw clay by hand and sealed under a clear glaze, so the mark stays exactly as it was made. No two are the same, and none of them can be repeated.

Every piece is thrown and finished by hand, so small differences in shape, glaze movement, colour and texture are part of its unique character.
