Espresso Cup — Woodland

A handmade espresso cup thrown for a short, strong coffee, in the Woodland glaze. The cups below are the exact pieces currently available, so you can choose the one that feels right for you.

The shape

Each Espresso Cup is thrown on the wheel with a compact body and thumb and finger indents pressed into the sides for grip, sized for a short, strong coffee, then turned and finished by hand the next day.

The glaze

Soft green over a rustic sand. Taken from the woods close to the studio in early autumn, when the moss is still bright and the leaf litter underneath has gone warm and dry. Quiet, low-contrast, and easy to live with.

6.5cm tall, 6.5cm across · Holds approximately 100ml

Every piece is thrown and finished by hand, so small differences in shape, glaze movement, colour and texture are part of its unique character.
