Large Mug — Woodland

A handmade mug thrown for a proper mug of tea or a long morning coffee, in the Woodland glaze. The mugs below are the exact pieces currently available, so you can choose the one that feels right for you.

The shape

Each Large Mug is thrown on the wheel with a wide, easy-to-hold body and a pulled handle sized for a proper grip, then turned and finished by hand the next day, built for a proper mug of tea or a long morning coffee.

The glaze

Soft green over a rustic sand. Taken from the woods close to the studio in early autumn, when the moss is still bright and the leaf litter underneath has gone warm and dry. Quiet, low-contrast, and easy to live with.

Every piece is thrown and finished by hand, so small differences in shape, glaze movement, colour and texture are part of its unique character.
