The shape
Each Salt Pig is thrown on the wheel with a wide opening sized for a pinch of salt or a small spoon, then turned and finished by hand the next day, kept within easy reach of the cooker.
The glaze
The most direct of the six. Navy slip is marked straight onto the raw clay by hand and sealed under a clear glaze, so the mark stays exactly as it was made. No two are the same, and none of them can be repeated.
Approx. 13cm wide, 13cm tall · Wide opening, easy to pinch salt straight from the pot
Every piece is thrown and finished by hand, so small differences in shape, glaze movement, colour and texture are part of its unique character.
