A neat little bowl for dips and nibbles, glazed in Sea Breeze.
This Dip Bowl is thrown on the wheel, turned and finished by hand the next day, then dried, bisque fired, glazed, and fired again before it's ready to use, all in my home studio in Congleton, Cheshire.
This bowl is ideal to sit alongside a sharing board and then can be stacked away when not in use.
Sea Breeze is turquoise breaking over sand, inspired by summers on the Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales, where the water turns properly green in the shallows and the beach is the colour of unfired clay.
Small enough to stack, useful enough to reach for
- Approx. 5.5cm tall, 10cm wide
- Stacks away neatly when not in use
- Dishwasher and microwave safe — avoid the oven, grill, hob and open flame
This is the exact bowl shown in the photos, not a similar one, since every piece is thrown and glazed entirely by hand, small differences in shape, glaze movement and colour are part of its unique character. Once it's gone, it's gone.

The handmade character
Small differences in shape, glaze movement, colour and texture are part of each piece's unique character. An unglazed, sanded base is normal, and fine crazing may appear over years of use — a natural trait of glazed stoneware.

Dishwasher and microwave safe. Avoid oven, grill, hob or open flame, thermal shock, and abrasive scourers.
