A neat teaspoon rest for keeping a teaspoon or tea bag off the counter, glazed in Woodland. This Teaspoon Rest is thrown on the wheel in my home studio in Congleton, Cheshire, sized to sit tidily by the kettle. Once thrown, it's turned and finished by hand the next day, then dried, bisque fired, glazed, and fired again before it's ready to use.
Woodland is a soft green over a rustic sand, taken from the woods close to the studio in early autumn, when the moss is still bright and the leaf litter underneath has gone warm and dry.

This is the exact piece shown in the photos, not a similar one, since every piece is thrown and glazed entirely by hand, small differences in shape, glaze movement and colour are part of its unique character. Once it's gone, it's gone.
