The shape
Each Small Mug is thrown on the wheel with a neat, compact body and a pulled handle sized for a comfortable grip, then turned and finished by hand the next day, right for a quick coffee or a shorter cup of tea.
The glaze
Blue over a soft sand, drawn from walking the gritstone edges above Macclesfield. On a clear day the rock reads grey-blue against dry bracken, and that is the pairing here, a warmer blue than Cornflower, set on a soft, sandy base.
