A neat teaspoon rest for keeping a teaspoon or tea bag off the counter, glazed in Sea Breeze. This Teaspoon Rest is thrown on the wheel in my home studio in Congleton, Cheshire, sized to sit tidily by the kettle. Once thrown, it's turned and finished by hand the next day, then dried, bisque fired, glazed, and fired again before it's ready to use.
Sea Breeze is turquoise breaking over sand, inspired by summers on the Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales, where the water turns properly green in the shallows and the beach is the colour of unfired clay.

Small differences in shape, glaze movement, colour and texture are part of each piece's unique character. An unglazed, sanded base is normal, and fine crazing may appear over years of use — a natural trait of glazed stoneware.
